Internet Marketing and You
Before you embark on any Internet marketing journey, you need a solid plan about where you want your website, or website network, to go. Internet marketers are distinguished from affiliate marketers and eBay marketers in that they operate websites and offer free information, services, or goods for sale. That first category, information, is the number one commodity in today’s global marketplace, and it’s the lifeblood of content website networks. People go on the web to find information, communicate, and be entertained. Your object as an Internet marketer is to fill their brains with as much concentrated, interested information as possible – but only if they ask for it. It’s a simple, cyclical process to begin a successful Internet marketer.
When you create websites with content or information, good search engines pick up your website based on the incoming links to your website. If a lot of good sites vote on you, then your content is verified to be good by the search engine. That’s the gist of giving away free content. Then, when people come to your site, they will read your content (and hopefully not click away). If they stay long enough to see some of your ads, then you’ve struck gold. You’ve just participated in the Internet marketing cycle. The search engines, the ad networks, the webmaster, the website, and the bulk content interact in such a way to give you money.
Most Internet marketers begin on a subject they’re familiar with because they can create an astounding number of different articles for the topic without any research. Since there’s minimal investment of time and its fun, Internet marketers that are amateurs start out here. If you create hundreds of articles, then your website could come up number one for the topics you’ve started working on. Try to stick to a general idea, like minor league baseball or fruit juice smoothies so it’s easier to get a foot up in the search engine results. If you’re not in a niche, then the competing websites will overwhelm your presence.
